If there is a place I will hold in my heart forever, it is Las Vegas.
I have been there back in the days when I was in my twenties-and-something.
I recall the exact moment when I landed with my flight from New York and the vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas welcoming me right away.

And on my way to the hotel, the view of the strip coming closer and closer, filling me with excitement for the week ahead.
Something that I also carry in my heart is the extraordinary capacity of the people living and working in Las Vegas to make you feel welcomed.

Me in August 2011 in Las Vegas

Wherever I was heading to, a smile and good morning, good afternoon, or good evening were always shared.
However, I still regret today the missed chance of visiting the more classical and typical side of Sin city: Old Las Vegas.
If you are a fan of Elvis Presley, you can not miss it.

The Rock and Roll vibes of this part of the city are unforgettable and undeniable.
Here is where the King of Rock and Roll gave his last concert back on the 12th of December 1976 with his iconic white outfit.

So without thinking about it twice, one day I will head back to Vegas, straight into her old heart.

But in the meanwhile, we can travel through The Wandering Cloud and start our bucket list.
Today I will post about my top three places, where I have to go once the pandemic will be over.
Note that some places might have different opening rules at the moment.

When visiting Las Vegas, you must venture to Old Las Vegas, otherwise known as downtown Las Vegas.

You can find this historic part of the city that was originally founded in 1905 by traveling a few miles north of the Las Vegas Strip. While visiting, there are a few sites that are worth checking out.

Fremont Street

Unknown photographer, if it’s your photo, get in touch and I will happily add your credit!

When thinking of Las Vegas, you may be thinking of this exact place without even knowing it.

The Fremont Street experience is unlike any other and is one of the main reasons why tourists travel to Las Vegas.

The home to hundreds of events, street performers, and casinos, such as the iconic Golden Nugget, visitors have plenty of options of how to spend the day.

One of the main attractions within Fremont Street is the SlotZilla zip line that zooms flyers up to eleven stories high and for an approximate 1,700-foot ride.

The ride can be even more exciting if done at night when the Viva Vision, the world’s largest single video screen that serves as a canopy, is even more elaborate.

Various Restaurants

The variety of restaurants available in Old Las Vegas are plentiful.

You can have a bite of a 40-ounce tomahawk ribeye at Barry’s Downtown Prime or opt for an A5 wagyu carpaccio with fried lobster mac and cheese at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse.

The Barry’s Downtown Prime is an incredibly chic location, and it is a perfect Instagrammable place as well.

For all of my adrenaline-junkies, and fans of the daredevil Evel Knievel, I have the perfect place for you.

If you are more of a pizza lover, you can head over to the Evel Knievel-inspired pizza place, Evel Pie, for a slice of NYC style pizza.

For a more casual scene, visit PublicUs for American gastropub food that you can enjoy on their rooftop.

Unless you are looking to dine on Mexican cuisine and are a lover of tequila, La Comida is where you should have dinner.

La Comida is known to have one of the best tequila selections, and celebrities such as Lady Gaga tend to celebrate birthdays and other events here.

Vegas Attractions

Bright lights and spectacular attractions arewhat Las Vegas thrives on.

While visiting the Golden Nugget, you won’t want to miss their $30 million dollar pool that is filled with 200,000 gallons of water with thousands of fish, including sharks!

They also have a three-story water slide you can ride to see even closer into the tank.

There are a few more photo ops you’ll want to take advantage of while visiting Old Las Vegas.

Vegas Vic is definitely one of them.

Standing over 40 feet high above the Pioneer Gift Shop, Vegas Vic is a world symbol of Las Vegas due to its many dazzling lights.

You can also take a photo with a million dollars cash at Binion’s, one of downtown’s iconic casinos.
After visiting Old Las Vegas, you may never want to leave.

You can almost be guaranteed you’ll never be bored.
