Being an Autistic Para Karateka: Why the WKF Should Truly Recognize the K23 Category
As an autistic para karateka, I believe the WKF should truly recognize and implement the K23 category in competition instead of placing autistic athletes in categories that do not accurately reflect our reality. This is a personal reflection on representation, inclusion, and why the work of Eric Bortels and the IKF has meant so much to me, both in sport and in life.
