HydraFacial: I tried the VIP facial treatment and this is the truth.

The drop you see close to my eye is one of the liquids used for the treatment. It’s NOT a tear.

If you are into skincare and luxury treatments, for sure, in the last year you have been hearing more and more about Hydrafacial.

Hydrafacial is a three steps skincare treatment that takes only 30 minutes from start to end of it and claims to make miracles with your skin.

Vogue, Forbes, E!News, Harper’s Bazaar...all those have been writing about it (and they know A LOT about trends), Hollywood Stars are talking about it…and last august, while I was in Tijuana for the Xpilots show I was invited by Hydrafacial Mexico to try it for my blog and reviews.

Today I went to Dermacosmetica’s Congress in Mexico City with another beauty blogger friend of mine (find her on Instagram as @zelrg) to try this facial of wonders.

We both tried the treatment and we are both satisfied with it. (She’s On IG as @zelrg)

I had to do it sitting on a chair but normally, you can do it laying down on a spa bed.

HOW IT WORKS

The products used to do the Hydrafacial. I just opted for the eye replenishing serum instead of the lips one.

CLEANSE + PEEL

Uncover a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing.

EXTRACT + HYDRATE

Remove debris from pores with painless suction. Nourish with intense moisturizers that quench skin.

FUSE + PROTECT

Saturate the skin’s surface with antioxidants and peptides to maximize your glow.

When I heard about the extraction part, my memory went back to my last facial and my nose was not really happy about it.

It’s the part I hate about cleansing skincare routine: it hurts and you end up having a nose like Rudolph on the 25th of December.

Well surprise! The whole procedure was totally painless, must admit somehow pleasant.

They passed this suctioning pen all over my face, with different liquids, to finalize with a skin boost.

They showed me what came out from my skin and eeeewwwww! It’s incredible that no matter how good I take care of my skin, and I never go to sleep with make up, at the moment of using a machine to open my pores and suction the dirt from it…well…that was a surprires.

To see the final results I had to wait a while because my skin is super easy to get redness but I am surprised with the outcome: my skin was literally glowing and super soft.

I asked infos about when would be a good moment to start doing this treatment and they said from 12 years old it’s totally fine.

It is also a really good help and a gentle one with acne, and I can relate because sometimes I have acne rosacea invading my face and now, my skin feels good and clean without being dry or cracked.

The prices depends from clinic to clinic but for example in Milan, Italy, it goes around 150 to 250 Euro per session, probably for some a little bit pricey but it will avoid you manual extractions (which will never be as good and complete as a mechanic one on my opinion), and half made treatments.

This is a complete, painless, fast way to obtain the glow you have after two months of vacations.

As a personal advice, the day you will do it, let your skin breathe: no make up, powders, just use your sunscreen cream and you will feel the difference.

  2. What a great review! I’d always wanted to try out hydrafacial but was concerned about my sensitive skin with the treatment. The 3 step process that you talked about was really interesting and I like the fact you can already see the results after the treatment is finished. Thank you for providing valuable info and sharing your experiences with hydrafacial.
